Tomatoes Last Gasp

Not many changes to report this week. We are still sitting under a high pressure ridge with little moisture. The weather has been warm, still and dry, so the garden is still hanging on.

I’m still picking tomatoes several times a week, after having a few weeks where no tomatoes were ripe. It is what I’d call the “last gasp”. As the morning trend colder, there isn’t much time left for the tomatoes, to the plants are throwing all of their energy into producing fruits. They will die completely in the next week or two.

I am getting peppers as well. Sweet banana, green chile and Santa Fe peppers are still growing and look good.

Thank you for reading my post.
